Italfarmaco and JCR Partner to Advance JR-141 for Hunter Syndrome

- Italfarmaco & JCR Pharmaceuticals have entered an exclusive license agreement to develop & potentially commercialize JR-141 (pabinafusp alfa) in the US, Europe, & Latin America for Hunter syndrome (MPS II)
- The companies seek approvals for JR-141 in the US, EU, UK & Brazil. Following approval, Italfarmaco will commercialize & distribute JR-141 in licensed territories, while JCR will retain manufacturing responsibility & receive upfront, milestone & royalty payments plus product-supply revenues
- JR-141 is a P-III, BBB-penetrating enzyme replacement therapy that uses JCR’s J-Brain Cargo technology to deliver iduronate-2-sulfatase across the BBB, targeting both somatic & neuronopathic symptoms
