ViiV Healthcare Reports P-IIIb (CROWN) Trial Data for Cabenuva in HIV Patients with Viremia
Shots:
- ViiV has reported the P-IIIb (CROWN) trial data assessing Cabenuva (cabotegravir + rilpivirine [CAB + RPV LA]) vs SoC oral antiretroviral therapy (ART) in adults & adolescents (n=326) with HIV-1 who had detectable virus when they entered the study
- Cabenuva achieved superior viral suppression vs SoC at 6mos., meeting the 1EP & addressing an important evidence gap for direct treatment initiation in people with detectable virus at baseline & no resistance to INSTIs or NNRTIs
- CAB + RPV LA is approved in the US & other markets as Cabenuva, & in the EU and Japan as Vocabria + Rekambys, for HIV-1 treatment in adults & adolescents who are virologically suppressed on stable ART, with no prior treatment failure or known/suspected resistance to CAB or RPV
