- IntraGel Therapeutics has entered into a strategic collaboration and investment agreement with UroGen Pharma to advance TumoCure for advanced head and neck cancer and expand the potential application of its SRGel biodegradable sustained-release platform
- As per the deal, UroGen will invest up to $7M in IntraGel to support the P-II development of TumoCure and will receive an exclusive option for a worldwide license to develop and commercialize TumoCure following completion of the P-II study; UroGen also gains research access to SRGel and options for exclusive worldwide licenses to up to three additional oncology products using the platform
- TumoCure is P-II-ready for patients with locally advanced, inoperable head and neck cancers who are ineligible for systemic cisplatin-based chemoradiation, with development planned under the FDA’s 505(b)(2) pathway; P-Ib data showed Tumocare was general safe and tolerability with low systemic cisplatin exposure, supporting further clinical development
