- Orion Pharma & Qilu Pharma EU have entered into an agreement to commercialise IV pembrolizumab biosimilar in Europe, which is currently developed by Qilu
- As per the deal, Orion will gain exclusive right to distribute, market & sell Qilu’s IV pembrolizumab biosimilar in the EU, while Qilu will supply the product & receive a share of profits plus development, regulatory & sales milestones
- Pembrolizumab is a humanized anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody, sold under the brand name, Keytruda, which blocks PD-1 interactions with PD-L1/PD-L2, activating T cells to help the immune system detect and fight tumor cells
