Shots:
- Vanda Pharmaceuticals reported that its P-III (Study 3201 / VP-VQW-765-3201; NCT07221578) of VQW-765 for on-demand treatment of acute anxiety in adults with social anxiety disorder did not meet its 1EP
- The multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled US study (n=546; ~30 sites) evaluated a single oral dose of VQW-765 vs PBO (1:1) ahead of the Trier Social Stress Test; 1EP was SUDS during the TSST performance phase in females (LS mean difference: −0.4; 95% CI: −5.32, 4.62; p=0.8899), and the key 2EP in the full population was also not met (p=0.6605)
- Consistent with prior studies, VQW-765 was safe & well tolerated; the α7-nAChR partial agonist program is on hold pending further analysis of the full dataset
