Teva Reports Topline P-IIa Trial Results on TEV ‘408 in Celiac Disease

- Teva has reported topline P-IIa trial results assessing TEV ‘408 in adults with celiac disease on a gluten-free diet (GFD) with minimal intestinal damage; additional analyses are underway
- The trial met its 1EP, showing prevention of gluten-induced intestinal damage at Wk. 8 following a single SC dose & improving Vh:Cd ratio, with least squares (LS) mean change from baseline of -0.43 vs -0.88
- TEV ‘408 reduced intestinal inflammation, with LS Mean change from baseline in the density of IELs, was an increase of 27.60 for PBO vs 0.37 for TEV ‘408, & also lowered GI symptom scores on the Celiac Disease Symptom Diary; data to be presented in future
