Eli Lilly Reports P-III (TRIUMPH-2 and TRIUMPH-3) Results on Retatrutide for Obesity

- TRIUMPH-2 assessed retatrutide (4, 9, or 12mg, QW) vs PBO in 1152 pts with T2D & obesity/overweight, while TRIUMPH-3 assessed retatrutide (9 or 12mg, QW) in 1949 pts with severe obesity & CV disease; trials used a stepwise dose-escalation approach at Q4W
- In TRIUMPH-3, 12mg reduced TGs, non-HDL cholesterol, systolic BP, waist circumference, & hsCRP by 37%, 16.5%, 9.3mmHg, 19cm, & 51.2%, respectively. At 80wks., body weight fell by 21.6% (9mg) & 22.6% (12mg) vs 3.2% from the avg baseline (111.4kg)
- In TRIUMPH-2, Pts experienced average body weight reductions of 12.7% (4mg), 19.1% (9mg), & 20.8% (12mg) vs 4%, plus it also reduced A1C by 1.4%, 1.6%, & 1.5%, respectively vs 0.2%; Lilly is finalizing the CMC package & plans to file a US BLA in Q1’27
