Eli Lilly’s Retatrutide Delivers Significant Improvements in Weight, A1C, Knee Osteoarthritis Pain, and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)

- In TRIUMPH-1 trial & nested studies in knee osteoarthritis pain & OSA, retatrutide met all 1EPs at 80wks., with weight loss of 25.9% (9mg) & 28.3% (12mg). At 12mg, 65.3% pts achieved a BMI <30 & 33.3% reached BMI <25, while those with BMI ≥35 lost ~85 lbs through 104wks. It also reduced WOMAC pain scores by ~73.1% & AHI by ~60.6%
- In TRANSCEND-T2D-1, retatrutide met its 1 & all 2EPs at 40wks., reducing A1C by ~2% from a baseline of 7.9%. ~90% pts achieved A1C <7%, ~85% reached ≤6.5%, & ~46% achieved normoglycemia (<5.7%), while those on 12mg lost an average of 36.6 lbs, with weight loss still ongoing
- Retatrutide reduced TGs by ~41% & ~39.6%, non-HDL cholesterol by 24.2% & 19.8%, systolic BP by 12.3 & 6.4mmHg, & waist circumference by 24.1cm & 12.4cm in TRIUMPH-1 & TRANSCEND-T2D-1, respectively; data were presented at ADA’26
