Orthofix Medical Signs a License Agreement with LimaCorporate to Provide Novel Solution for High Hip Dislocation in the US

  • The companies collaborated to provide a novel solution for chronic high dislocation of the hip in the US & enables surgeons to divert the femur into a proper position thus resolving the leg-length disparity, reducing strain on the spine & enabling a total hip replacement
  • The collaboration will combine the limb-lengthening technology of Orthofix’s patented Fitbone intramedullary nail system with LimaCorporate’s 3D-printed pelvic fixation device to provide technologies for hip dysplasia or abnormalities of the hip
  • The US FDA compassionate use exemption will grant access to the new solution. LimaCorporate's ProMade 3D-printed custom service combines design & manufacture in its PoC Center located at HSS in New York City
