Johnson&Johnson (J&J) Signs a Research Collaboration with Apple for Atrial Fibrillation (AFib)

- J&J and Apple collaborate to initiate a heart health program in combination with J&J’s app & Apple Watch’s irregular rhythm notifications and ECG app- for developing methods in detecting and improving QoL for patients with AFib
- The focus of the collaboration is to measure the results of health program with rhythm notifications on Apple Watch including prevention of strokes & evaluating the effects of medication adherence program using J&J’s app
- In H2’19- the heart health program will be launched enrolling patients aged 65 years or older with AFib in the US
