• The US FDA has granted EUA to the B. Braun's Perfusor Space Syringe Infusion Pump- Infusomat Space Volumetric Infusion Pump- and Outlook ES Pump systems to be used in the tracheal delivery of continuous nebulized medications into a nebulizer for treating COVID-19 patients and to reduce the exposure of HCPs with the infected patients
• Multiple studies demonstrated that using infusion pumps with nebulizers provides steady- controlled delivery of nebulized medication to patients with ARDS
• On Apr 08- 2020- B. Braun has submitted EUA to the FDA- under FDA’s “Guidance for Emergency Use Authorization of Medical Products and Related Authorities” which supports emergency preparedness and response and bolster the development and availability of medical products for use in public health emergencies
