AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford to Share Positive News on its COVID-19 Vaccine Imminently

- As per ITV- AstraZeneca to share positive news on its AZD1222. The update could come tomorrow while the first data is due to be published in The Lancet
- According to Robert Peston- a UK journalist- the vaccine generating the kind of antibody and T-cell (killer cell) response that the researchers want. He revealed that not all vaccines under development across the globe increase both Abs and T-cells but the AZD1222 demonstrate twin effect
- The efficacy of the vaccine will be properly established in P-III program- which is underway in Brazil to deliver a large database assessing the safety as well as the efficacy of AZD1222. If approved- the company could go for mass production as early as Sept’20
