• Medtronic has received MHLW’s approval & launches Valiant Navion thoracic stent graft system for the minimally invasive repair of thoracic descending aortic aneurysms (TAA) and complicated type B aortic dissections (TBAD)
• With Valiant Navion- Medtronic sets out to offer a second stent-graft option alongside its Valiant Captivia thoracic stent graft system. The Valiant Navion offers CoveredSeal (proximal covered) and FreeFlo (proximal bare metal) stent configurations for the treatment of challenging thoracic aorta pathologies
• The launch marks the third geographical launch of the Valiant Navion- following FDA and CE Mark approvals in H2’2018. The lower-profile thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) device broadens patient applicability and allowed for more patients to receive an endovascular repair
