Oticon Medical Reports the US FDA’s Clearance of its Bone Conduction Hearing System

Shots:

  • The US FDA has granted clearance to the transcutaneous bone conduction hearing system, Sentio System, intended for subjects (≥12yrs.) with conductive hearing loss, mixed hearing loss, or single-sided deafness
  • The device comprises an external sound processor, Sentio 1 Mini, and an implant placed under the skin, Sentio Ti Implant
  • Sentio 1 Mini provides 360-degree sound and 9.5kHz bandwidth while the Sentio Ti implant, intended for progressive hearing loss, is developed to handle powerful sound processors for higher maximum force output
