Arthrex’s ACL TightRope Implant Receives the US FDA’s Clearance for Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction

- The US FDA has cleared ACL TightRope, a first fixation device for use in treating pediatric ACL injuries. The device was developed with the Hospital for Special Surgery for use in a high-risk group of young athletes & helps to develop minimally invasive solutions
- The company worked with orthopedic surgeons from the HSS & developed an all-epiphyseal technique for skeletally immature patients that involves reducing the risk of damaging the growth plates while ensuring proper fixation & strength using pediatric-specific instrumentation to drill sockets for ACL graft
