Mitsui to Acquire Sumitomo Pharma Animal Health

Shots:

  • Mitsui acquired all shares in Sumitomo Pharma Animal Health with a share capital of $1.49M/ ¥200M (as of Sep 2022). The acquisition is expected to be completed in Q1’2024
  • After the completion of the share transfer, Sumitomo Pharma Animal Health (SPAH) and Marupi Lifetech (subsidiary of SPAH) will no longer be subsidiary of Sumitomo Pharma
  • The acquisition will lead to the development of global animal health business and advance introduction of foreign products and license exporting by creating synergies with Mitsui’s business assets including the companion, livestock, and aquatic animal business inside and outside Japan
