
Merck Reports the Launch of Merck Digital Sciences Studio to Support Early-Stage Biomedical Startups
Shots:
- Merck & the New Jersey Innovation Institute jointly developed MDSS to support startup technologies for drug discovery & development with investments from the Merck Global Health Innovation Fund, Northpond Ventures & McKesson Ventures. Microsoft will provide technical support to these startups
- MDSS will invest in the biomedical startups & will provide access to powerful Azure Cloud computing along with opportunities to pilot their technologies in collaboration with discovery & clinical scientists at Merck
- The application for 12 spots for the first MDSS group was initiated by Merck, startups focusing on AI & ML applications will be a priority. The program also plans to include 6 startups at each of its locations (Newark, NJ & Cambridge, MA)
