Medtronic Collaborated with NVIDIA to Advance the Development of AI in the Healthcare Industry

- This collaboration will begin with Nvidia integrating cutting-edge AI technologies into Medtronic’s GI Genius intelligent endoscopy module, the first US FDA-cleared, AI-assisted colonoscopy tool to help physicians detect polyps that lead to colorectal cancer
- By integrating GI Genius with the NVIDIA Clara healthcare platform, Medtronic may be able to scale the development of algorithms for real-time procedures, enabling better insights into patient health & treatment outcomes
- For use with GI Genius AI-assisted colonoscopy system, Medtronic also plans to integrate NVIDIA Holoscan & NVIDIA IGX to provide doctors with AI-enhanced diagnostic images. The 1st GI Genius systems using NVIDIA technology will be made available in 2023
