Philips Launches QuickClear Mechanical Thrombectomy System for Blood Clot Removal

  • Royal Philips has expanded its peripheral vascular disease portfolio with the launch of the QuickClear mechanical thrombectomy system. The system features an all-in-one aspiration pump and catheter for the removal of blood clots from the vessels of the peripheral arterial and venous systems
  • The system eliminates the requirement for capital equipment or expensive accessories- thus enabling faster procedures times. The thrombectomy system will simplify the complete thrombectomy procedure workflow- bringing a cost-effective solution to both the hospital and outpatient care settings
  • The thrombectomy system is the latest addition to Philips’ portfolio for the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral vascular diseases and has received the US FDA’s 510(k) clearance and is available for sale in the US
