Google Developed AI System for Easy Detection of Last Stage Breast Cancer with 99% Accuracy
Shots:
- The Google AI i.e Lymph Node Assistant (LYNA) was tested to recognize the characteristics of tumors by studying scans from cancer patients in two datasets respectively
- In the trial LYNA proved to be efficacious by detecting cancer scans in half the time and with better accuracy- pinpoint the location of cancers- reducing the rate of missed micrometastases by a factor of two
- LYNA is based on Inception-v3 (image recognition deep learning model) taking 299-pixel image input for outlining tumor at pixel level- adjusts the model’s algorithmic weights to reduce error and predict tissue patches
